Ignore a thread?

Ignore a thread?

Is there anyway to "ignore" a thread? So that new posts in it don't turn the thread icon red and in turn the sub-forum icon red? I really don't care at all about some of the most active threads.
I once dreamt of crafting beautiful thane's rings... then I discovered Big Bear Bangers. Now I smash beautiful things.

Here is a simpler way of checking for updates, skipping the tedious search through each subforum: search.php?search_id=active_topics

yeah, view active topics is great. there doesn't seem to be a way to ignore a thread though, other than the manual not-clicking-on-it method.
