Tree Pplz

Whats with these treeant looking dudes I see sometimes? They seem to move around really fast and eratically. Are they devs in disguise or do they replant trees in deforested areas or something? I'm new and just wondering what their purpose is.

Judging by the way they immediately bounce off of objects upon collision I would guess that they were implemented for testing the pathing system. You are able to follow them and doing so increases your speed to equal their own without the loss of stamina. They are not attackable or interactable in any other way.

They serve no purpose, other than to look awesome and give a hint of mystery.

I believe they're called Dryads, but I'm not sure.
