That's just one of the first things I found via google, and skimming through it, it seems like something you're looking for.
Remember, google is the way to go.

I guess the map generating code for HnH /Salem is Seatribe IP and thus part of the servers closed source

Use search function in forums with term "mapgenerator" maybe you'll find more informations

the haven mapgen is some python code that loftar wrote, the salem mapgen is some lisp that loftar wrote
