Position in World Map

I've just started playing, created my character did basic stuff. Then I wanted to see where i am in the World Map but I don't know how to do it. The only Idea I have is to check all World Map till I find a similar spot to mine but I don't think that's the normal way of doing it.

So how the heck I position myself in the World Map ? (Coordinates or something)

Seems a stupid question but I just couldn't find any answer.

Make a boat and try to find some thicket terrain in your grid. When you find it(it shows white on the minimap) discover it completely and check its shape on the world map.

Seems a stupid question, yes you are so right, but we all did it.
There is no way except for finding similar spots.

It is one of the things that imho this game absolutely lacks.
(Ofc I should say it lacks it for regular players, because I have seen that people that use bots have it.)
