How do I install and play the game?

I've been trying to get the game to work but when ever I try to install it my computer says that my "Your security settings have blocked a self-signed application from running" but I have no idea what to do, I can not figure out what to disable or what settings it is talking about?

The issue is with a new security setting that java has implemented. Anything by independent developers is automatically blocked. There are two solutions to this problem. The first is to go into your java control panel, go to security, and reduce security settings to Medium. The second is explained in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=35081.
