Claim and Permission Headache (Solved)

Postby Jaymo » Wed Jan 29, 2014 8:02 am

Well I'm rather embarrassed this has to be my first post, but I cannot seem to solve these two problems.

I have placed a Claim Stake next to my cabin, and was looking to expand the claim, but can't get the land management menu to open for the life of me. I've tried using both the Ender client (v20.01.14), and the vanilla client. I had thought that maybe it was the location of the stake, as it is on the tile right next to the cabin, but I am able to place and interact with other objects directly next to the cabin. Below is a screenshot of the placement. Any advice would be much appreciated!

Also, along similar lines, I have a buddy that I am playing with, and I can't figure out how to get the permissions so that he can access the claimed territory. We're both "kin", and I tried moving the colors around. This all seemed to have no effect. Is there also some menu or something that I should be using to manage permissions?

Thanks,
-J

you downloaded Ender's but didn't follow the directions. Go back to his download site and download then install the update as instructed. this should resolve your issue with the claim stake. This should resolve both issues if you understand how to set the player permissions from the wiki (or other source such as the forums).

Probably the same problem as here:

If you have the updated enders client, then you need to open the claim interface (right click the stake), and click on a color. Assign various permissions to that color.
Then open your kin list and assign the same color to the kin who you want to give permissions. They will then be allowed access on the claim.

Sorry for the belated update, took a lot longer than I thought to find four bones. Anyhow, I re-staked the claim without holding shift, worked like a charm.

Thanks for all the input!
