Dowsing

So, here I am with my dowsing rod and this red circle appears all around me, with a darker red wedge in it.

My assumption is that the point of the wedge points in the direction of water.

I'm trying to get a cross bearing, which isn't easy.

Is this how it works?

If you travel in the direction the dowsing rod points out, you'll eventually find what looks like a puddle, which will only be visible while you have a dowsing rod equipped. That's where you can build a well.

I never tried it but i heard it works a bit like radar.
The ones who see things differently.

the wide part of the wedge (away from you) actually points toward water, it had me confused at first also.
