Cauldron Quality

Is there a way to know the quality of my newly built clay cauldron? My Herbalist tables? My chests?

Not directly. However, you can use them with a Qx item and use the same Qx item on something you know the quality of and compare them.
Ex. add Q50 wheat to a Q50 herbalist table and get Q50 germinated wheat
add Q50 wheat to a Qxx herbalist table and get Q70 germinated wheat. Congratulations you have a much better table than you previously did!
(these numbers are totally fictitious and certainly wrong)

And of course Q has no bearing at all on chests. (unless it effects hp, but I don't think so)
I once dreamt of crafting beautiful thane's rings... then I discovered Big Bear Bangers. Now I smash beautiful things.

Thanks Cain!
Good idea. I am trying my luck with making silk. I have two cauldrons of unknown quality. I will see if they show a difference in silk thread quality.

cauldron has no effect in the silkmaking process. spinning wheel and loom definitely do though.

What about other things? What things are affected by cauldron quality?
