...build a straw hat?

I have some straw in inventory, and some empty space for it to land it. I have the picture of the straw hat under crafting. I choose the picture... nothing happens.

With all the other selections under crafting a crafting window opens up, but not that one.

What am I doing wrong?

Is it an inherited character? There were some reports that after inheriting stats/skills from a dead character, it was possible to see the crafting menus of the dead character but not be able to interact with them until repurchasing the required skills.

I was created a long time ago, but have only played twice.

You have four straw, right?

And once you select the picture, you select craft item, right?

His issue is that the "crafting window" never opens. The window in which you would normally select 'craft item.'

Ah, yes, you're right. Perhaps this should go in the Bugs section then.

It seems like you need the skill Clothesmaking to actually craft the hat, at least that's what the wiki says.

I had this bug and it turned out you needed clothmaking.
