How do I cook Food?

I got some Rabbit meat, but I don't know how to cook it. There's no option under 'craft', and I bought the Cooking Skill. Help?

The option wasn't there :\. I made a fire, but in 'Craft' there's Tools and Curiosities only.

I can't catch any rabbits because they're too fast and the terrain is blocking me :\.

Easiest way to catch rabbits is to not right-click them when you see them, but walk up next to them, then when you're there, toggle the fastest running speed you can, then right-click them. And make sure you have a 2x2 size spot empty in your inventory to hold them. Another way is if there is a fox around, chase the rabbit toward the fox or wait for the fox to wander close enough to see the rabbit, and let the fox chase the rabbit down. Foxes will kill small animals and leave their carcass on the ground.

But yeah you won't have the "Roast Meat" craft option unless you discover the raw meat. But one way you could do that is to fish and butcher a fish as well, as a raw fish filet will count as raw meat (raw fish filets can also be eaten without harm, but you'll lose any FEP bonus from the raw fish).

Catching a rat will enable "Rat on a Stick" cooking recipe as well, which isn't the most ideal, as even cooked it can be harmful, but it's better than starvation. Taproots can be eaten as well if you're that desperate.

if youw ant to catch rabbit DONT right click them, left click them. this allows you to get RIGHT on top of them then make sure your movement speed is as high as it can be just in case and since the rabbit is just at your feet RIGHt click and dont touch anything on your computer xD you should instantaneously have the rabbit given you have 4 squares free in your inventory
