Best way for a beginner to grind lp

Postby faceinbox » Wed Apr 09, 2014 1:46 pm

So what's the best way for a beginner to grind lp ? And by beginner I mean I have a timber house, a claim, full leather and a small farm. Also sling or bow ?
Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his bunny slippers; after that, who cares?! He's a mile away and you've got his slippers!

Sling. Faster shooting, requires only stones which are infinite, can use backpack, etc. The only drawback is the damage, which is compensated with the faster shooting if you're twitch hunting.
The best way would probably be to stuff any curio you find into your study window, such as: straw doll (farmable if you have a farm)
emerald dragonfly
clay chariot (or whatever the name is, craftable with acre clay)
all kinds of ants
dandelions
cone cows
etc.

Swamps and mudflats offer some pretty good startup LP. Swamp has better curios but require more attention, while a mudflat offers decent starting curios that don't require much attention (if it has acre clay node go for Toy Chariot too). Try and find string on broadleaf (Birchbark tree's, the white ones with yellow tops) and you can have an instant bark boat. Caves aren't bad for glimmermoss and stalagoom if you can find one, both giving decent LP for their attention. Feather dusters and straw dolls are some good crafting curio's as well.

If you're just interested in hunting, go for the sling and use the twitch trick on a boat or behind a palisade/brick wall when you get one for quick and dirty dead animals.

Happy foraging and good luck. :)

Edit: Ninja'd by Nooby, forgot the Emerald Dragonfly too, they are awesome.

straw dolls ARE NOT easy to get for beginers unless you steal straw or are given it
id suggest grabbin boat building and mass making the boat curiosity or dragonflies
also hunting is not easy for beginers

cone cows, dandeilion's, and dragonfly's are easist

If you have access to a Acre clay node toy chariots are nice early LP but slower.

Other than that you really needs to discover as much as you can.

He already has a farm = straw dolls.
He has leather and bones for a personal claim = he can hunt.
Mass making bark boats won't get him LP fast since you can put only 1 of a kind curio in the study box.

Why did you send PM? If you wrote some tips on it you could have posted them here for other new players to find.
