Raiding and pvp

Postby faceinbox » Sat Apr 12, 2014 11:10 pm

So im just a starter, and by starter I mean I have a claim, leather armor, a farm, and a timber house. But now I found a couple of decent curios which would get me 20k lp so I'd have enough for rage or trespassing, so im thinking of getting trespassing because there are a couple of abandoned placements with mineholes near me, but I have heard that you shouldnt start raiding before you get atleast pallisades, and I could build pallisades. but the guestion is that should I get trespassing and build a pallisade or should I continue living peacefully and just spend it on some other skills ?
Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his bunny slippers; after that, who cares?! He's a mile away and you've got his slippers!

You should probably focus on getting more useful skills for now until you have a brickwall and a decent production of everything, then it's always good to let off some steam by raiding or killing people.

Yeah I thought about that too, but im kindof in a position where I dont have anything to do than building a mine hole, and when I get trespassing I should be able to enter the mine holes near me

Build a brickwall before thinking about leaving scents.

I can't build a brickwall without leaving scents because I have to trespass to get some metal, and the guy who owns the place is inactive

You don't HAVE to trespass. You can forage pearls to buy the metals, or make your own mine. There's many ways to build a BW.

I can't seem to find out about this in the wiki, but can you mine in a cave just with trespassing ?

Invest the LP you have into exp, and if you have a farm eat carrots. Get deals with traders about what you will pay, it's not necessarily pearls.

If the guy has been inactive for more than a month, you can break his pclaim totem, thus eliminating your tresspass problem.

And about not having enough perc*explore to find mussels? GET SOME, don't put points anywhere else, so you can find those delicious flotsams, edels, etc (you don't only have to use pearls to trade you know). Also focus on marksmanship, so you can sling bears down, Fresh bears sell very well.
