Toggle Fullscreen - Why is my screen all black?

Hello H&H community.

So I've tried to toggle fullscreen in the options menu. The thing is though, as soon as I am trying to do that, the screen goes all black except for my cursor and I can't do anything other than quit the game in a way other than through usual means. Why is that and how do I fix that issue?

The fullscreen feature is broken. If you use a custom client like Ender's, you can maximize the window though.
