Couldn't find enough informations abour crossroads

They may be build only by village owner, right?
What happens when village is declaimed? They disappear? They stop working? Or they stay and work like they worked before?

Crossroads will not work unless they are on a village claim.
They will not decay when not on a claim, but they are destroyable by anyone when not covered by an active village claim.

They used to work if a village was defunct but if they were still under influence of an old banner, do they do this still (if they aren't decayed or destroyed of course)?

I have a working crossroad that's only supported by a chieftain's statue alone, the village claim to which is long destroyed.

I can be wrong, because it's been a long time since I checked, but I believe you can travel to cr even if there is no village claim at all.

yes, you can, it's only interacting with the crossroad that you can't do when it's not on a village claim.
