Discovery Prerequisites?

So I made an alt to be my industry char, and I just got her to pottery. However, I can't seem to aquire the blueprints of any of The Symbel that requires clay. Can anyone tell me what discovery I might be missing? Do I need to have her craft a wooden plate first?

I just wonder if there's a guide already in place that has the full "Tech tree" INCLUDING discoveries, not just skills?

As far as I know this is the best illustration of pre-reqs. I do not believe that a comprehensive guide exists anywhere.

you need to dig/pick each clay type for discovery (grey clay at shallow water, ball clay in shallow water, acre on mudflats, cave clay in cave lakes) http://ringofbrodgar.com/wiki/Clay

Thanks peeps, I appreciate the help <3 Hopefully I'll get it sorted.

Update: Aha, that was it! I hadn't gotten the Acre Clay discovery with her yet. Huzzah~! It seems obvious now, but it's a bit harder for me to sort out because she's a second generation char and I'm new to the way inheritance works. Might've been better off not inheriting her predecessor's meager skills at all.
