How to stay logged in on the forums?

This is silly... The FAQ states:

If you do not check the Log me in automatically box when you login,

There isn't any box on the "Log In" page, as shown below, nor anything on the "Account" page.

I am logged out from the forums every time I close my browser. I have cookies enabled to last as long as the website defines. I'm blocking third-party cookies but added `havenandhearth.com` to the exceptions, which changed nothing.

Chromium 34.0.something. It keeps me logged in on every website (that has a "Remember me" option).

i use chrome, i restart my browser with "open the last session" and im almost always logged in unless i choose not to. (but i have my pc on all the time even when im not at home.)

I use Chrome and Pale Moon, it's same for both. If I close the browser then go back, I logged out. But if I don't close it and just close the tab or whatever, it keeps me logged in.

I think setting the cookies for session-only is what websites do when you don't check the "remember me" box, otherwise I guess cookies are set for a year on the far away future, and "remember me" boxes are pretty much default for every website. Couldn't that be implemented? It's rather simple. I'm surprised I could only found one (old) complain about the subject.

ive tried enough times and im always logged in unless i log out. its not about closing tabs.
even after restarting my pc for updates, im still logged in when i open chrome.
i asked some others in case im too special that this site wants me to stay logged in so badly, but sadly, im not the only one

cause there is no need for it. someone told me it used to be like that (session destroyed when closing the browser) few years ago, but it has been changed or something, i dont know about the details. is your chrome up to date? possibly security setting or your browser setting, who knows. ask someone who is actually good at these stuff.
