Ok, so I've searched all over, checked everything, and no one seems to have talked about it.
Except for that one guy who suggested every char gets a villiage with one...

What is a barmaid???
It's listed, ish, in the wiki under creatures (in the same note as the character creation NPC's and the Ent's are listed) but I can find no information.

Are they a character actually found in the game, or what? o.o

There is no character named a bar maid.
I'm guessing it could be a character to give out stuff at the ring of brodgar, or a character that was planned, but never implemented, or else it's a joke.
