Minimum str for destroying a claim

So I've searched around and read that it was possible to at least damage a personal claim with 20 str and a q10 pickaxe, what I want to know is is it possible to damage it without a pickaxe and if so what is the minimum strength to do so?

pickaxe adds 2 to damage, rest is easy
in case math is too hard: (2+sqrt20)^2=36, but I'm not sure your info about 20str is correct in the first place

It's not. I didn't notice damage on a claim stake until 81 STR or greater with a pickaxe (so that would assume a claim stake has soak of 10).

Windmaker, wouldn't you need 121 STR to do it barehanded? Because you need more damage than the soak value?

The damage boost from tools is static and unaffected by quality.
-With Stone Axe you deal 1 additional damage when destroying.
-With Pickaxe you deal 2 additional damage when destroying.
-With Sledgehammer you deal 4 additional damage when destroying.
