Rebuild or look for a safer place?

Hi guys,

I've been out for 2 months since I was raided and killed (mostly one shotted from outside my own pallisade). Left the game and now got hooked again. My place is somehow still standing, but I'm not sure if I'm safe or if I should check for another spot. I kinda like this place, got used to it and got to know the map around me. Though I lost the keys and a lot of work is still needed to recover.

I don't have a clue about politics and factions. I do know that Alekseevskaya is in a 5 minute boat ride, but not sure if they are friendly toward hemits or not. I haven't found any other large settlement in the area. ¿Any advice? Thanks a lot in advance

If you lost the keys you're gonna have to tear down any gates that are still left and rebuild them. Also in two months it's possible any "bad guys" in your area have been killed, quit, or otherwise been cleared out of your area as well (but you could have worse people around still).

If you do like the area, then might as well rebuild. But one of the benefits of restarting, is having the freedom and not being attached to an area and infrastructure to go out and find greener pastures.
