Mac clients are on their own

Postby okarowarrior » Sun Jul 13, 2014 8:07 pm

Just that. I got Leopard 10.5.8 and i cant find anything to run haven and hearth. all ive got was old posts of 2011 and people commenting while they dont even use Mac OS. So, i got a PC, and it was really easy with the "how to" run it the first time i needed (config java , etc) . But on Mac it all seems very difficult and the forum doesnt give any help. Even the crappy search function doesnt seems to work (i search "mac" and it doesnt find anything). So. Could you tell me at least with mac there is not an easy path to succefully run the game? :(

Please don't cross-post. I've deleted your other thread.

There shouldn't be any intrinsic problems on Mac, however. There's Java for Mac and it works just as for PC. Just install it and you should be fine.

As Loftar said the default client just needs a proper install of an actual Apple Java for your OsX - guess the last was Update 10 from 2012 (maybe consider to upgrade your Leopard if possible on your Mac ... but hey this is not Apple Support here ;) )

If you're looking for custom client on OsX check this:

Well, thanks :) . For the record , to anyone who land on this post and also has a outdated os like 10.5 leopard, just dont try it. It wont work for that system, you need to pay (as ALWAYS... stevie must be filling his pockets on his grave) to upgrade your Osx. Back to pc (i know, billy IS , in fact, more rich than b.jobs, but he wouldnt get anything from me

well if you have an Intel CPU 20 US$ /free shipping for Snow Leopard isn't that much ... (imagine what you'd pay for a windows Upgrade ...)

I must admit I don't quite see why you couldn't get Java to work on 10.5. Is there just no download available any longer, or something?
