Ring of Brodgar and Pearl Necklace

Postby Raffeh » Sun Aug 24, 2014 6:24 pm

I have searched high and low for a answer to this,

These items provide you with Learning ability, RoB (15%) and PNecklace (40%)

I was wondering if this is base, with a ring at 40ql giving 30% learning ability and ring at 90ql giving 45%.

Also does this get effected by the change slider. So if i have a 40ql ring giving me 30% then x3 because of change slider. So in essence giving me 90% Learning ability gain?

if this is the case people could have 2 160ql rings and a 60ql pearl necklace and get 960% Learning ability (Roughly)??

Can someone help?

The Learning Ability boost granted by the necklace is added to the total LP gain, not multiplied.

same for RoB rings

the bonus percentage is based on 100% LA AFAIK

Pearl necklaces and ROBs add to your lp, but are not affected by the peaceful/change sliders. So at full peace/change a q10 pneck will still only add 40%, taking you up to 400% total (360% from peace/change). Same goes for ROBs.

They do follow the standard quality multiplier, though, so at q40 they will give double the lp gain, etc.

So with the equipment you listed, you would have 360 for full peace/change, about 97 from the necklace, 120 from the pair of rings, so just under 580% total. This could be further increased by drinking tea, however.

Thank you guys, much better understanding. I thought it was a little too much to also then x3. I read that page on the ring of brodgar but it did not make sense to me and i wanted to just double check before making a decision in buying a ring.

I did just drink some tea too. Not the most practical way of having to wait till your curio near finished

The tea buff stays active while you are logged out, so one way to make this easy is to get a full tea buff before you log off so that when you log back on, anything that will pop will be affected by the tea buff.

If something is going to pop while you are logged in, the tea buff is fairly easy to sustain if you have a good amount of tea production, just take another sip before the timer expires then continue about your business.

Does the buff sustain during the time spent off line, even if that timer expires half way through then?

The tea buff pauses while offline, so if you log out with ten minutes on the buff, when you log back in, regardless of how long you've been gone you will have ten minutes left.

Wow. So if you go on vacation, you just drink sip of tea and when you come back BAM shrewbread and stuff with LP bonus.

Yep, when I can actually be bothered making/gathering curios I log out with tea at 100% every time.
It can be annoying needing to wait 10 minutes after you dring to log out, but that's what scripts are for :D
