minning?

so i got all the skills i need for mining and i found a spot with a nice soft wall and i started it(full stamina) and i didn't have enough to finish it.
what gives? i cant get a pickaxe without metal and i cant mine without more stamina so what on earth am i supposed to do

Get one or two waterholding items, preferably a barrel or bucket. Drink water. The progress on the wall will stay.

hopefully you have a minesupport ... without i wouldn't mine out more than one tile

drinking water wont help as i dont even have enough stamina to finish the first one i am at full stamina i start mining and when it finishes it says i am to tired to mine and i get nothing

you only barely sorta kind of have enough str to start mining. and veins that contain ore are fairly uncommon, just read the damn guide.

you dig, stamina gets low digging stops, drink and mine on, repeat untill it's mined out - you might not get ore from that tile but when no stones drop at your feet there might be ore around in other tiles which means you need a minesupport there to mine further tiles (which doesn't mean that a cave in on the first tile can't happen!)
