Location question?

Hey guys, new player here, do you guys have any tips on where to live? Which part of the map is most active, where to avoid? Thanks before!

Live in inactive areas.

He's asking where those inactive areas are. As far as I know the most active area is central right now, try the borders of the world but keep in mind that lots of people opt for that

It's hard to say which areas are not so active - new players spawn randomly also there are waves of raiders or griefers swapping in every area once in a while - some border sections are very active ...

I recommend to check a choosen area for a while (a week at different daytimes) to make certain that it suits you and that you don't collide with plans of others (i.e. building and claiming too close, chopping areas without using the logs ...)

Yeah that's what I thought, center is active but everyone knows that so they move near the border, making it as active as the center. Thanks for the answers guys.
I have an idea, to settle pretty far away from resources and river where nobody would bother to check, maybe that'll work?

Borders are incredibly empty, in my river system I have 1 probably living vault and that's all, not a single hermit except for myself.
