HF and Village Idol Questions

hello,

i have questions about teleporting,

1)can my friend teleport to my HF with my hearth secret, if it isnt, what is that hearthsecret for?

2)how people trade with village idols, can you explain basicly because i dont get it.

3)what is teleporting with oath?

4)cant i teleport people for trading without a village idol?

sorry for noob questions but im a new player.

1) Your Hearth Secret is how you add "Friends" in the game.
2) People trade with Village Idol by adding someone to their Village, completing the trade, and then you joining back to your original village. (This means no one loses Authority)
3) You Oath Characters to your Village allowing them to teleport to your Idol.
4) You cannot Teleport people to you without a Village Idol.

To expand on #2:

Trading takes place with an alt WITHOUT a hearthfire. Due to the fact that you can teleport to your hearthfire from anywhere regardless of distance and and idol acts as a hearthfire if a hearthling does not have one, you can travel any distance to anywhere as long as your both have village idols. Here are the steps:

1. Have an alt with no hearthfire and in your village.
2. Party with the person you are trading with. This is done by adding them with their hearth secret and inviting to party.
3. They will oath you to their village because you can oath party members from anywhere.
4. Use Teleport to Village Idol.
5. Conduct the trade.
6. Now take your Lawspeaker and party your alt.
7. Oath him back to your village.
8. Use Teleport to Village Idol again.
