Bees will produce honey and wax based on the number of unripe crops growing around them. To maximize output you must pick and replant your crops regularly.

To remove stone on the ground simply use another terraforming command, such as plant grass, on the same tile.

Simplest way te get wax seems to be planting hives radius full of carrots and managing them in a way you donät harvest and replant every crop at same time so there are always lots of carrots growing. Or planting many kinds of crops also seems to work. These measures are to ensure plant growth ticks come regularily instead in chunks.

From what I heard, you can plant about 90 carrots within the beehive's radius to maximize production.
And to preserve quality, move its radius outside of the crop area while replanting.
I didn't like my old signature, so here's a button. (::)

To get q gains from the hive just have an alt stand there for a few days. As soon as the map grid is unloaded, the q resets, so standing the alt there ensures the q keeps raising and does not drop.
