Cave

Postby Jinglo » Tue Oct 14, 2014 5:02 am

So i found a cave nearby my camp and I've managed to mine the wall but i had rocks fall down on me.

How am i supposed to put up a mine support? the walls keep falling down on me and doesn't give me a chance to put one a decent way in? Also how am i supposed to find ore all im getting is 10ql stone? I'm sorry if this is simple but its kinda stumped me.

I read up about this rustroot but its not giving me any readings ? do i need a certain skill level?

Rustroot extract only finds things if there are metal ores nearby and 1 level below you. For example if you are on the surface then rustroot can discover metals that are on Level 1/Caves.
Remember to break the rocks that fall during a cave-in! The more of those rocks that are on-screen the higher the chances of another subsequent cave-in.

Building your first supports can be tough. A great way to do it is to buy metal from another player first to secure your own mining operations. Another option is to use numen via ancestral worship to use Forge Prayer to acquire nuggets of metal.

If you can, before mining further you should gather quite a bit of rustroot extract and get a successful ping from that so you know where to go. You'll have to walk around quite a bit!

If your getting stone moved down the wall every little bit and test mine again. You may get lucky and find a easy node. Cave-ins can be cleared with the destroy option on each stone. It take a long time so have lots of water.
