So, apparently I'm doing something wrong but I thought I had to have the HM skill to build Dream catchers right? Well, I got the skill but I have no option to build the dreamcatchers. So I figured maybe something updated or something but I would like to ask the community what I should do and why this isn't working.

You need to discover string. Forage Spindly taproot. If you do not see any Spindly Taproots, increase your Exploration skill.
