Trolls

So I have had one of my miner alts killed due to a troll attack when he was just starting out. My new alt is getting pretty good with higher stats than his ancestor but I am still wary of troll attacks.What kind of stats should i have yo adequately defend myself against trolls? I would also like to know what armor and weapons to use along with any moves i should hot key. I am a total noob when it comes to melee combat and its a tad confusing. Any help would be appreciated.

Don't fight trolls, just bring lots of water and use sprint speed when you see one to run back to your home. Trolls in melee will kill you with rocks, its bugged

You will have hard time doing it on your own. I suggest when you spawn a troll, to run away, try to escape to closest house/minehole, make an alt or have it pre made just in case, go with alt near troll and keep it near him in view distance so troll doesn't despawn. Call your friend, equip b12, sword whatever is easiest for you. One guy needs to run away in circles with 4th speed, always drinking water (have 4 buckets of water, flask + food in inv). other guy needs to stack coins on him (thunder) and when you got like 50+ coins or 60+, start doing opportunity knocks (4x), then hit him with val-strike or sting. Repeat the process until he is dead. Higher strenght + quality of the weapon, faster the kill. Don't forget, the one running is always just running, never in touch with the troll.
