UA Level to take on Level Vs?

Postby CG62 » Tue Dec 01, 2009 2:30 am

Fucking boars are terrorizing me and WuTang (under the name of ShroomGod).

So, what level UA would I require to have a good chance against a Level V Boar at 10 STR?

lv 50 would do it

UA is much more important than str in combat. But how is your str 10?
I once dreamt of crafting beautiful thane's rings... then I discovered Big Bear Bangers. Now I smash beautiful things.

I haven't managed to make/trade for any STR foods yet.

Well this kinda sucks. 10 UA... 45k LP to get to 30... COCKS!

50 UA would help, but the more time you spend slapping a boar, the more time the boar has to KO you. Kill lower lvl boars, cook that meat, eat it, pump UA, repeat forever.

That'd be fantastic, if I hadn't already settled. To begin with, the wildlife was no problem.

Ironically, the day I brought on my farmhand they became a pain in the ass.

Build a palisade enclosure (with gates), and shoot the boars from your enclosure...that's what I do

Palisades are shit for a growing farm. I'm probably just gonna set up a fence and expand my little work area to include some trees, so I can do most everything from within the fence.

Suit yourself...palisades work well for my homestead, but I guess each to his/her own...

Maybe try fishing for sturgeon and brill. They both give strength. A sturgeon lower than q10 gives three items of strength food. That's how I got my strength up so I could start tackling the critters.... Not that I am tackling the big mean ones yet.
