My character was deleted

i laid my character to rest in a bed and i was doing really wel but when i logged back on my character was gone what do i do

Inherit and try to figure out how you got killed

If you can't inherit, then the character didn't die and you could be logging in to the wrong account. Account names are case sensitive here.

Chances are good you were force summoned and murdered.

There are three common causes for this issue:
1) You commit crimes or someone/something attacked you before you fully logged out and you were killed.
2) You logged onto the wrong account, account names are case sensitive.
3) You ddos'd the server or something equally bad and the devs personally burned and salted your characters and home.

A quick way to check to see if it was case #1 would be to create a new character and look for a runestone on the left side of the character creation room. If there's one there then you died. It happens to everyone and I hope you don't feel too discouraged!

If you can't find a runestone and you still can get access to where your old base was, check for your hearthfire. If your hearthfire is still lit then you're still alive and probably on the wrong account. This sounds silly but it happens. Once you've done it once then you probably won't do it again and you may continue on your adventures. =)
