I lost my ability to craft, and build.

My character died, and I inherited him just as normal. The problem is I cannot craft a stone axe, even though I harvested the materials from the correct source.
(Branch from tree, and Stone from natural stone.)
I get no discovery notification when I discover foreign items for my character, and I'm currently useless.
Can someone help me?

Disclaimer: I have the right items, and I got them from a natural source undisturbed by my last character.

If you inherit char that already has discovered stuff x you cant discover it again.

Since i have already discovered the items, shouldn't I have the ability to craft? Still I can't do anyhting. I'm going to restart the game and see if anything works.

buy the skills again.
if u want make a stone axe, get a stone and branch, from rock and tree , and u get the option

I'd suggest to log out and after 2 minutes back in again - then buy any skill you haven't and your bought skill list should be there again
