How do carts work

Postby humzaf » Wed May 13, 2015 10:13 pm

The wiki is vague on this, how much space does it give you? I'm building a house and i wan't to use this to transport a lot of materials so that it will take less time. Oh and for wagons do you need like a bull or something to push the cart?

what's vague about that? Up to four lifted objects = 4 storage slots i.e. 4 logs (plus 1 you can lift after you clicked Pull Cart)

I saw that and I was kind of confused about the crate thing to give you up to 60 slots at the bottem of the page.

a crate is 5x3 - so 15 Slots - with 4 crates it would be 60
but you can't use all crate slots for i.e. blocks - so you can drop only 6 blocks in a crate while a log gives 12 blocks
also boards can't be stored in crates - for boughs crates holds 5 each - so with a cart and 4 crates you can move 20 plus the ones in your inventory

cart with 4 crates comes in handy if you go for clay for example as each clay uses one slot so 60 clay at once

in chests you can even store more but you need metal to craft them - a cart with 4 Large Chests (LC) can hold stuff in 192 slots i.e. 96 blocks at once

you can put empty cupboards (liftable) in cart - good for a farming area, after harvest and replant using cups drop them in cart to save them from decay

(you can't lift filled cupboards anyways)

edit: don't confuse cart and crate don't confuse cart and crate don't confuse cart and crate ... k the other 97 i write on a piece of paper - yours Bartborka ;)

So basically putting cupboards in there is only useful for moving? Ok, well atleast i can use crates for 60 slots.
