Killing LVL 4 bears

What stats? What STR and Melee do I need to take one out with a bronze sword, and can you recommend some armor?

as much str and melee as possible. str is more damage, melee is more chance to hit. i'd recommend at the very least 50 in each. also, a thorough understanding of the combat system. armor? take what you can get, i guess. i can sell you some decent leather pants, boots, either bronze plate or chainmail, and a decent bearcape if you don't have one already.
