What do I do?

I have walked around for hours and researched foraging and lumberjacking and studied cone cows and now I just can't do anything. I cant find anything new and I can't forage anything because there are no berries or anything. Please help.

Look for a swamp.
The Dragonflies there give very good early XP.

Pick up Wild Windsom Weeds and dry them on your herba table/Drying Frame.
Once you are lucky to get Carrots, you can start creating a carrot field to increase PER.
You need PERception + EXPloration in order to see more things.

Swamp also helps with food problems.
Create a fishing pole, attach any kind of string, create a hook out of a rabbit's bone and use leeches as baits.
Once you see fish jump in the water, you can catch masses of fish there.

Have you started making a base? Building houses and structures kills time whilst you study and also gives you both storage space and the builds needed to progress, ie, drying frame, tanning tubs, etc and once you have started a farming area further foods and curio crafting. (Ofc, once you have bought the appropriate skills, carpentry, hunting, farming.)

Try exploring abandoned settlements for useful items as well. Quite a lot of them out there.
