question on bee hives

Postby DeadlyPencil » Sat Dec 19, 2009 1:37 am

if i have a 5x5 crop and i surround the crops with like 10 beehives, do they all make the same amount of honey, or does the crop generate a certain amount of honey that would be split up by all the hives.

Sorry I do not have the answer. In my case, all the hives seem to act independently. Also, since the latest "bugged hive fix" most of my hives have been barren - no honey production at all.

It would split up, also it wouldnt grow faster than with only 1 hive.
Im not sure about the wax though, but wax is quite useless and you get enough for candles out of 1.

You need to plant more crops (Or harvest you grid more often) for more honey, honey is produced faster by harvesting and replanting your crops. If a crop stays unharvested and you collected the honey, you would notice after a while that no more honey gets produced. So just harvest often and replant if you want more honey, likewise you can also plant maybe another grid of plants to maximize those hives.
