What should a newbie kill?

Assuming your newbie has ended up in level X land what should she be killing and in what order and using what method?

So far I have:

1. Rabbits & Chickens: requires hunting
2. Fish: requires fishing skill and bone hook
3. Ants: requires some armour, will to power and some type of combat (& weapon if necessary)
3. Foxes: require Marksman skill 20 and bow and arrows and quiver

How would you continue this list? Mouflon? Auroch? Deer? Boar? Are there any animals I have missed?

Are their any hazards/recommended methods to slaughter the cows and sheep my neighbours have domesticated, other than the obvious one of a irate posse coming after me for cattle rustling? Assume I have purchased the livestock.

And on the don't-bother-you-can't-do-anything-with-a-dead-one list I have: silkmoth, toad and rat.

I think the next animal should be deer or boar, but both of them are kinda strong and dangerous (deer healing is annoying too). It's still better then getting swarmed by a herd of cows, they will make you lie on the floor in no time.

Boar is stronger than Fox, but not too bad if you keep combat intensity down or have the advantage

Deer is annoying unless you manage to find one without a group

Swarming animals might be after that or on the same level depending on your methods

domesticated animals just stand there and let themselves be killed. only wild variants attack.
