How much CIVlevel does a Cabin spread? How much, if any, does a claim, and how much a village? Also does the amount of authority matter for the CIVlevel that a village spreads?
Comparing all of these to a hearth fire.

A level X island with two cabins and two hearth fires has level VIII animals spawning in camp and level X spawning a few "inches" away. I assume the hearths make more of a difference than the houses but have no way to prove it yet. I hope this is helpful data. I think you need to pose this question to the devs to get authorative answers.

A cabin spreads almost no civilization at all. The levels contributed are 1 per cabin, 10 per hearth and 300 per village idol. However, it should be noted that the civilization from one census grid affects the surrounding ones in rather non-linear patterns, so you should be careful in drawing conclusions from that.
