Why do i need Brodgar?

I thought it's a nice place for trading and RPing but when i actually visited this great city there were nobody there.

Also. Can i haz some idea, at least, in what direction Brodgar is situated? I can use the party compass of course, but i guess it's a not very accurate tool anyway.

brodgar is at the very middle of the 25000x25000 tiles world.

Also it is far from being a great city. It was an honourable project which massively failed.

So, what is it then? Some people live there. Some noobs start there. Is it - like a crossroad? A place where some people can meet each other accidentally. Maybe there're some interesting events in Brodgar? Is it a good place for trading?

Well with the old mechanics it used to be the starting place for all new players. This is also the reason why everything is so fucked up around Brodgar.
Now all you find there is a really, really huge area of abandoned claims and construction signs from grinding lp.
It is still useful though as a general trading area. Everyone has the option to teleport there and most vending stands can be found east of the rob.

RPing not so much but trading, it's great. However, don't expect to waltz into town, say "wts lightly used vibrator 50gp" and find a trading parter. Trading is mostly down via PM and IRC. Brodgar is just an easy place to meet up.
