Where can I get some Plaice? In river and lake I have only Brill and Perch. Or maybe anyone knows another way for weak noob to increase perception?

How about planting some carrots? Deer meat also works if you have the skill to hunt one down, but they can be quite hard at noob stage.

And if it ain't obvious, raise you farming skill, coz that's what's affecting the carrot quality.
