INCREDIBLE lag (Not network one)

Postby Dumme » Fri Jan 22, 2010 5:09 pm

Well, I'm playing this game for few days, and I've got it pretty smooth (Not the server lagz)
But my friend installed it same as I did. Latest Java, same windows (xpsp3), almost same PC (athlon 2.4, 2GB ram and something like 6600 graphics card), and..
He's expiriencing INCREDIBLE lag! Just about 5 FPS.
Halp! I'll pay with rabbit slippers. :)
Sry for rough English btw.

It could be an OpenGL related problem.. Does the game file eat up 100% CPU?
A similar issue has been reported before, and I experience similar lag (I'd say, even less than 5FPS) after watching online movies at a certain site. Reboot fixes it for me.
However, I did have similar trouble before, playing test version of another game (DF40d# series). Eventually, it turned out to be an issue with OpenGL. Installing the latest drivers for my video card fixed that.
Has your friend installed the latest drivers for his video card?

We have gotten a surge of players from MO and a russian forum that has nearly doubled our active player base...

And made the game unplayable...

The lag referred to here, as I understand, is not the common lag that's bothering everyone, but a graphical lag, the game skips drawing frames.
OP please correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah, it's 100% cpu load, I told him to install the drivers, let's see if it helps. And thanx already. :)

Well it's PC lag, not graphical
Game just goes like Crysis on B-rated PC with top graphic settings. Capiche?

Does it happen everywhere or just around crops? Laggy wheat is an old issue.
