by the way, jorb/loftar, wheat should be more available than that, consider the rarity of grassland compared to the importance of wheat. my alt that i've been playing for a considerable amount of time still hasn't found wild wheat. luckily i met someone else out there who gave me a wheat seed. but seriously i've not even found a grassland, only moor and heath and tons of mudflats and a swamp.

If been playing for months, and done alot of traveling, and though I know it exists, I have never, not once, ran across wild wheat anywhere. Everything else, but never wheat, even on grasslands...the most important seed of all..lol Especially at the beginning.

I can confirm the experience. I run a ton of alts. I had one who ran into three or four patches of wheat on her second day. But I've had several who spent their first few days looking for wild wheat -using boats mind you, and knowing exactly what to look for- and who still didn't find it. I've had considerably more luck getting wheat from other players encountered in the wild than I have in finding it.

BUT I'm quite happy with things the way they are. I like the survival aspect of the game and enjoy trying to figure out work arounds. It takes quite a bit of work starting from scratch to use aurochs as a source of constitution. I've done it; I would not expect an inexperienced player to figure this out before their constitution was lagging ominously. For the sake of the more inexperienced players I agree that wheat should be easier to find.

The problem may well be its value to a new player. Possible many of the wheat-less grasslands I found did once have one or more patches of wheat, but it was all harvested by whoever found it first. This is not usually the case with tea, and flax, and poppies and such, which would be why they seem to be about ten times as common than the wheat.
