Volume!

Postby inyushomaru » Wed Feb 03, 2010 5:54 am

Hello, me and a friends have just started playing this game.

It is great and all but we have one main pet peeve right now... THE GAME SOUNDS ARE SO LOUD! Chopping down a tree or sitting in a chair is torture

I looked around the game and couldn't find much, i also searched for a bit on the forums but didn't find much there.

WE talk on vent with other people a lot of the time so turning off our computer sound wouldn't work for us. Is there any way to turn off or lower the volume of all the game sounds?

If you're running Windows Vista (I know, it's a terrible OS, spare me) or most other Windows OS' you can right click on your volume control panel in the bottom right tray and check the advanced options (or mixer as it's called) to adjust H&H's volume specifically.

That means you can mute it or change it separately from your other application's volume settings.

You can set the volume of the sound effects with the console command :sfxvol. For instance, type ":sfxvol 0.5" to set the volume to 50%. There is not yet any way to set the music volume.
