Can't Roast Meat.

I keep getting the "You need a fire to roast meat" message, but I'm literally standing adjacent to a fire. What's the deal?

right click it to interact with it. works the same with querns for grinding flour, looms for making linen/guaze, grinders for making sausages, etc, etc

So do I click when I'm holding the meat, before doing anything else, or when the message pops up?

• Right-click a lit Fire to use and stand near it.
• Craft [C] > Cooking [k] > Roasted Meat [R].
• Select 'Craft'.

As above, its difficult to stand close enough to an existing fire.

Build it, light it and do not move. Goto craft and then pick the meat. Should work fine then. I had the same issue to begin with. Only once have i managed to use an existing fire.

man just right click it and you'll walk up to it and be "interacting" with it for crafting purposes.

I had a similar thing going on, but since I spam both left and right clicks before giving up, I was inadvertently able to get it to work
