Setlling down

What would be a good place for settling down, and making a small camp?

Any place with the resources you want. The closer the resources and the higher the quality, the better.

So a field with chickens and bunnies, apples and a river would be good?

That's a decent place to start. A better area would have access to high quality water, soil and clay, lots of trees for applications where quality doesn't matter, stone, and high level animals. Even better if there were a cave and metal. Good luck finding all that at once though.

Being away from river is safer. It's also a bigger pain in the ass.

I'm leaving my current village because there is too much theft, so I'm quite looking for someone to help me etc, because this game is quite hard to master.

yea by the rivers a bad idea if you arent able to build a good palasade wqall or somthing to protect you. i had some tanning tubs by the river... they took the leather and found my camp further inland and stole 3 days worth of leather from bunnies. :(

If you lived by a cave at the time it might have been me on my new alt. :)
