Foul scents are produced whenever a criminal action occurs, and can be used by those with the ranging skill to try to track down the perpetrator, the perpetrator's hearth fire, and to recover stolen property. All scents currently in the game are:

* Odor of Trespassing
* Reek of Theft
* Smell of Assault
* Stench of Murder
* Stink of Battery
* One more relating to vandalism

Scents will last several days before they disappear.

(make sure to thanks to wiki for this info... =D)

Vile Vapor of Vandalism.

You don't, ranging is the only way, combined with the appropriate level of per/exp.

Ranging is a skill costs 7500LP, idr prerequisites offhand, check the skill tree.
