Some noob questions

I have two questions.

First, is there a picture of the skill tree? I'm kind of picking skills on the basis that they're somewhat related to what I want to get.

Second, where do I get clay? Next to rivers? In special mines? What?

Clay you get by digging in shallow water.

Well, I have a new question (sorry for the double post)

How/where do I find string?

String is one of several things. The easiest one to find is spindley taproot, which is found on the forest floor once you have foraging. For built items simply shift click to transfer it to the construction. For crafted items simply have it in inventory. No processing is needed.

String is also plant fibre, found after you have farming and can pick either hemp or flax.

String is also yarn, spun from the fleece of a domestic sheep

Last of all string is silk thread, unravelled from a silkmoth coccoon with the assistance of a cauldron.

You'll probably be using the spindly taproot.
