How do I change the direction my cabin is facing?

It seems that when I try to build it, it only wants to face one way. how do I change it so that it faces a different way before placing it and building it?

and i'm right to think that in order for the cabin/whatever to be properly built I have to lay out stone underneath it to build it on? r

I had to plow first, then pave before I could build my cabin but I am in forest. I have seen some without foundations on other types of land.

I'm in the forest as well. Do you know if the Stone Mansion requires straw or something like that? =o

Trying to figure it out as I don't want to go through all this effort and figure out it needs straw.. as I have no idea where to get straw in this game. I have some ideas but not that i've actually tried out yet lol

Edit: Found it on the "wikia" lol, "It costs 300 stones, 600 straw, 50 wood blocks, 25 boards and 5 bars of metal to build." sounds like i'll just be sticking to the cabin for now.. after reset, i'll definitely want to look into the stone mansion,
