Milk cows?

I can't seem to milk a wild cow. I fed it 3 clover, thinking maybe it needed more than one - but I still can't seem to milk it. I have empty buckets in inventory, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Do they need a high quality clover or?

Just to be sure, are you trying to click the cow with a bucket in your inventory or are you 'holding' the bucket?

You have to pick up (left click) the bucket and use that to (right click) milk the cow.

Are clovers gotten threw drying a WWW? or are they found growing on the ground? Ive yet to come across one yet but have found quite a few WWW.

They are themselves a plant different from windblown weeds.

I was trying to shear them like the sheep, so thanks for the tip! Also, I found the clover in the plains like other herbs.
