Need help fending off raiders.

Postby Dataslycer » Thu Mar 04, 2010 1:15 pm

Just got harassed by two raiders that first tried to destroy my boat under me while I was on it before one of them tried to shoot me. AFter a long chase I realized that one of them was just following behind me so I suspect something was up. The other one that broke off chase stole fishes from my front.

One they returned again and tried to kill my alt by KOing him to death (rage but no murder) while trying to steal my boat herbalist table or things in my timber house (no theft so he cannot get it past the claim). The only reason they did not attack me is because the arrow dealt 0 damage minus the soak damage. After failed attempts to steal, they left.

However I am certain they will return soon, most likely with theft and I need advice on how to deal with them.
If you keep focusing on the shadow behind, you will not see the light in front of you.

Get ranging and rage. Pick up scents where they KO-d you, and kill them while they're logged out.

Rage will allow me to kill them?

Also with ranging, I am not familiar with the procedure. When they trespass and assault, I presume they leave scent. Do I use those scent to summon to their hearthfire?

Scents will allow you to track them or their hearthfires. When you are at their fire you can summon them with a scent.

Rage indirectly allows you to kill a sumoned person. Just KO them till they have no hhp left.

You can't summon people with trespassing or assault scents, but battery (knocking you down) is summonable.

Should have made myself more clear, ofc you are right. Theft and murder also work ofc, not totally sure about vandalism right now but should work too.

Strip them and dress them up in leech suites.

Tie their hands behind their backs and bind their feet, douse them with a bucket of honey, and throw them on an ant hill.

If only...

Anyhow I think this guy pumped all of his combat stats in marksmanship since he never went into melee on my alt, just kept sniping him.
