Coop Fodder

How is the fooder quality of fodder calculated (if at all). I have noticed that even though only a few q1 seeds were added to the coop when we first built it, that no matter how much fooder is added of higher quality (now our crops aare in the 25 range) the fodder never averages up. This makes no sense, So at the time I am letting the coop run dry as obviously the fodder "Sticks" on the lowest seed ever added? Is this the way it is suppose to be working?

Unfortunately, when you add more fodder, the new quality is calculated by taking the average quality of the fodder already present, and the fodder you are adding, weighted for quantity, then rounded down.

What this means is that unless your fodder q is high enough to increase the average quality by a whole number, the quality will not raise. But since the average is always rounded down, any time you add fodder of lower q, the average will decrease.

I also still think the problem remains with the seed ql not reeseting if the coop or through, is completley emptyed, wich it should in my mind.
My experiance is that it will indeed stick to the lowest seed ever put in, and its very hard to get it up again once you have made that misstake and put that damn single seed in.

My advice to you is, brake the old coop and build a new one! Then make sure you dont put any new low seeds in that one.

Umm, well isn't that a sucky buggy oversight, perhaps this should be addressed in the next patch as it's another rediculous foray into tediouness...lol

Adding an option to 'empty' the coop (like buckets, waterflasks etc. work) would do the trick nicely.

Since the average is weighted, it doesn't matter if the q is reset or not when the coop is empty because that q shouldn't enter into the average (it has no weight).
